    May 03, 2021 2 min read

A pole trick visual guide showing a female dancer doing the ayesha with a forearm grip pole move, wearing Super Fly Honey sticky fishnet leggings.

The ayesha is an advanced pole move, where you suspend your body in an inverted position with legs wide open. There are several grip variations to do this move, and in this blog, we’ll be focusing on using the forearm grip to do the ayesha pole move.

We go step by step on how to achieve this pole dance trick. You can also scroll down below to watch the full video tutorial.

    Ayesha Pole Trick Tutorial

Entry: Chopper or V Invert Pole Move

For this move you start off by doing a chopper pole move or also known as a v-invert.

Transition 1: Inverted Crucifix and Forearm Grip

    1. Lift your legs up and cross grip them on the pole to position yourself to an inverted crucifix pole move.
    2. Reposition your lower arm so that your forearm is pushing against the pole.

Transition 2: Ankle Grip, Leg Extension and Ayesha

    1. When you are comfortable with your forearm grip, slide down your leg on the same side of your bottom arm to position your ankle against the pole. This will give your body balance as you extend your leg down.

    1. Once you’ve your body’s balance, extend your other leg down. Push it towards your shoulder. As you extend your leg, keep pushing your forearm against the pole.
    2. Release your ankle from the pole and extend your leg outwards to position yourself into an ayesha.
